Voice over and progress

In Fridays lesson last week and in yesterdays lesson, Katie brought in her laptop in which we came out of the lesson and we found a quite room in order to some voice overs, we also filmed some more lines of the actual script in case we needed them if the other did not sound very good, we are happy with the progress that we are making as the rough edit should be on its way very soon, we as a group are happy with the making of the film and the time frame that we sticked to, along the way we did have some little problems which we have overcome and managed to fix and find our way around and not we have the raw footage hopefully the editing will start very soon.

Some pictures of the filming

Here you can see that I have taken some pictures on my phone of what we were doing and the effect that we are trying to create, although you can see lots of details on this image you cant see this as much on the camera which gives a better effect and an effect that we wanted and what we were trying to create the reason my phone camera has take better pictures is for the simple reason that the megapixels are better than the video camera, as this has been done we will take some screen shots of some images of the film and up load them once we have had a look to see what it looks like and when we are happy with what we have done.

Tuesday

On Tuesday me, Reece and Katie stayed back as school and filmed one part of the opening of the film this was the interrogation scene, we were in school until 6.30 pm and managed to get this one part finished, along the way we had a few problems such as the memory on the camera soon filled up so we quickley logged onto a computer to see that you can not delete from this, however we managed to delete form the camera which meant that we could carry on with the rest of the filming and its done and we are very happy with the progress and the acting and what we have shot and the way that it looks

Another prop

Here you can see that this is another prop that we will be using, it first we didn't have a rounders bat so we were going to use something that looked very simalar, however Katie has managed to find this from home which is much better and would look more effective.

MurderOutfit

As you can see I have some pictures underneath that are of the murder outfit that will we worn when we are in the tunnel that will be used in the flash backs, that will be in black and white, These clothes would represent many different things such as the fact that the top is red would suggest danger and death, the black top and jeans would represent again darkness and danger, as you know Reece would be the person that is wearing this, however he at the beginning at the interrogation scene Reece will be the character that is the detective trying to find out who was the murder when he knows in fact that he is the person that is the murderer trying to cover for himself.

Monday, 9 January 2012

As you can see these are some clothes that would represent the everyday life of one of the characters, this will be used to show the working class between the suspect and the detective, for some reason they have turned up side down when i have uploaded them however you can see see what they are like and the reason behind them. The use of the light colours are to show that the character is a happy, jolly person and he is kind and loving, however he is suspected of a murder, we know it was not this character however the audience does not so the use of the light clothes and with is being a tracksuit would make it think that they are a gangster and they are rough and want to look for a fight over the actor in the suit.

Props and Costumes

As you can see this is one prop that we will be using when come to film the final opening, this will be hidden from view for most of the time as this person at the beginning is seen to be the innocent person, but in fact this person has commited the murder.

As this person is a detective he should be wearing some very neat clothes to show his importance and authority over the other characters.

This again is the suit that Reece will be wearing as the detective.

This torch will be used to highlight the face of the characters to show that he is the one that is guilty and it will create light in the dark room we will be filming.

This again is one of the probs this is the murder weapon that has the finger prints on of the detective however the story has been turned onto me and I will be getting accused.

This again is one of the props.

As the girl gets murdered and I the innocent character gets knocked out this is the weapon I will be hit with.

This is a police badge that Reece will be wearing again to show the authority he has to turn the story around and to show he is a detective,  but also the one that murdered the girl.

Story Board

http://katiesawesomeasmediablog.blogspot.com/2012/01/story-board.html

This is a link to Katie's blog where she has created an amazing storyboard on Paint, this will help to to intricate where the characters should be and the lighting, this will also give you and the audience a clear view of what we are trying to create and what it should look like when we come to film it.

Hope you like it!

script

http://katiesawesomeasmediablog.blogspot.com/2012/01/actor-script.html

This is a link from Katie's blog this is the new improved script, we originally had a script idea, however when we were reading through it we decided to change it a bit in order to make more sense. The first script has lots of inforamtion about the camera angles and what would be happening in each shot but with this one its more focused and makes more sense.

call sheet

I have created a very simple call sheet that we all should be able to understand.

Time to meet:

Location to meet:

Scene Description

Location

Cast

Characters

Extras (If needed)
Special Instructions

As you can see I have included the Time that we will be meeting, and the location we will be meeting.
The scene description and the location of the scene
The cast and characters that are needed
Extras and special instructions

The reason that I have included this on to a call sheet that has been made in a word documents is because we can get clear instructions over to the people that are involved so that they know what time we will be meeting, where we will be meeting, and the location of the filming.

The cast and characters are there so that if we need more people to come and help we can tell them there parts in which they will be doing and again it will confirm that they know what to do and where it will be.

The use of the extras and special instructions are vital when coming to do filming that is out of school grounds, the things that would go in theses boxes would be thing like make sure that you are well warped up as there may be rain, snow. Make sure you bring some food and drink if we were going to be at a location all day and not near any shops, or if we are near shops bring some money.

log sheet

I have made a log sheet in order to keep everything that we do in tact, so that we know what the shot number is, what is in the shot and what the actors are wearing to keep the continuity if we need to film something again.
The reason the log sheets are vital is to ensure that we have covered everything and by logging the progress that we are doing will help us as a group to make sure that we have done what is needed and we are happy with what we have done and the progression.

As I don't have PDF on the laptop I have decided to copy and paste it over, this will be the log sheet as you can see it says what shot number it is on the camera, and what the camera angle is. It also says what is in the shot so if we needed to do it again we could see what we need. basically this is what it will look like however it is on a word document. It also has more columns that are blank to fill in one the day's of filming.

Number of Shot
And camera angle
What’s in the shot
Who has filmed the shot
What props have been used (continuity)
What is the actor wearing (continuity)

props and costumes

Again as a group we have been thinking and have decided that we will need some props and costumes to help get the correct affect that we are looking for. The costumes that we will need is mainly having a smart suit that will be for Reece as he is the interviewer, the detective. We also think we would need something like a dress maybe Red to show the connotations of pure, death and blood. This would not be in the interrogation scene but would be used when we are filming out of school meaning we need a girl that would be willing to help.

We would also like to have a little police badge, this is for again the detective so that we can show authority between the two characters in the interrogation scene. As we are trying to create the affect of being interviewed we are thinking of having a prop such as a small tape recorder that will be on the table to show that everything we say is being recorded for evidence.

interrogation scene location

We are looking for a very dark room, within this we would need to have a table and chair so that it looks like the person is being interviewed, we have come to a derision on perhaps using the drama room within the school as its very dark as the walls are black, the reason we want a dark room is so that it creates the affect of being interviewed about something very serious that is going to affect the persons life that is being interviewed.
The strengths to being able to use this room would be that we can use it for as long as possible after school when its free and in our free periods to create the scene, another strength would be that as the room is very large it would mean that we can use a number of different camera shots in order to get to correct feel, to make it look dangerous and serious. There could be some possible weaknesses such as the rooms availability during school will be very hard if student wish to be in the room for there projects, however this means that we will be looking for after school filming as well.

Again this last image is to show the affect that we would like to create when in the drama rooms, this shows you the reason why we would like to to be very dark and dull but also we would like brightness on the suspect to show his face and expressions, for this we were thinking about getting a bright torch.

Location

As i have posted on the blog already for the flash back scenes you can see that we have chosen this location to create the dramatic atmosphere and the tense setting to make sure that the film opening is creative as possible including blood effects to show that the people have been hurt, as out plans that we have been looking at before the holiday, you know that it is an interrogation scene, for this we need a very dark room with a table in to show that an interview has been  taken place. The lighting is very important in theses situations so that you can clearly define who is the evil nasty one and who is being accused of the murder, when in fact that person is innocent.

script

a script has been made and the final copy will be up loaded to the blog as soon as possible, we are going to look through the script and see what it sounds like and if the things that are happening matches the film genera. once it has been looked through from the people in the group we will then amend it if needs be.

possible area

As you can see from the pictures above, this is a very good place that we could film one part of the opening of a film, as we are wanting to look at flashback this would be the place that this would happen ad would be shows, if we agree to this area. We thought of this idea a long time ago and theses pictures will help you see what its like.

The strengths to this place is that its easily accessible with a number of shops surrounding the area, meaning the location for toilets, food and drink is covered, it is a safe environment, no cars can pass under this part of the bridge, as its under the bridge not much noise should be herd meaning we are not being distracted and we are not distracting others as they are walking.

Some weaknesses would be that it is used sometimes to pass through to the housing estate further down the road meaning we would have to be careful what we are doing and when we are doing it so that we are not distracting people passing, and we need to make sure that we are not being threading to the people passing so they don't feel scared of what we are doing.
