We may have a blooper of some little mistakes that we made and a little film at the end when we where talking about what we enjoyed about making the clips and just some general conversation to each other about the acting etc.

The Video Prisoner

Here is our final video, after all the problems we have been through with the computer technology we have finally managed to complete it.

The problems that have accrued have been the areas in which we filmed the Prisoner video, However we are happy with the final location especially the interrogation scene . we also had a slight problem with the formatting of both scenes as one had rendered in a different format but our teacher Mr Earl had managed to help us with that issue and fix the problem and now the video is here and is ready to watch!

The parts that we have enjoyed the most, For me the best part of the video would be the whole idea of having to come up with possible areas and filming the video and ensuing that the clips where a success. the scene landscape we all really enjoyed trying to think of possible ways we could implement to the clips to make them look better. This was filmed in the School grounds, in some areas you can not tell this, However some areas you can see it was in or around the school. The scene was also films in the school but does not look as school like as we where in a very dark area which made the video look even more effective as the connotations of the dark area would be that it may symbolise death and danger for the up coming part where there was a gun shot.

The Editing of the film was also a favorite part of the making as we all feel as thought we have all had a good part and we all put our points across to show that we are dedicated and care about the work that we have done. There was a few little debates of certain areas to make the film and in the editing of what clips to use overall we made a decision and know the film is complete and has been finalised on the blogs we are all happy with the outcome of the finished piece. In the editing it also helped that we made lots of clips of the same area to ensure that we had plenty of cut aways and Master shots so that when it came to the editing we could make some amendments to the piece. The music that we have added to the film is also very effective as it make the film look more spooky and scary this created as dramatic atmosphere to the person that is watching the film, keeping them interested in what is happening and more to the point what is about to happen.

The overall film is about a lonely but happy person that is out sitting beside a tree one day and suddenly someone comes over and starts being very violent towards Number 2 which is me, as well as the violence in the looks Number 6 was also physically violent as further on in the clips the Number 6 grabs Number 2 by the neck and drags Number 2 into a very dark room firstly braking into the room with his foot.... it then moves onto the interrogation scene where both number 2 and 6 were sitting and having a conversation about wanting to know information that number 2 will not tell.... again Number 6 starts to get violent and shouting whilst Number 2 is staying calm suddenly Number 6 stands up moves around the table and drags the Number 2 onto the floor and starts punching him until Number 2 shouts out and then Number 6 walks off laughing. It then fades to a black screen and there is a gun shot and this keeps the audience wondering if Number 2 shot 6 or if Number 6 shot Number 2.

Hope you enjoy watching the film that we have produced we have all enjoyed making it and are looking forward to making more in the future.

Uploading the video

We have had a slight issue in up loading the video to the blog. The problem we are having is that we have tried to put both the landscape and interrogation scenes together to make the final video for the blog and one of the clips has rendered onto a different format so what we are having to do is change the formatting on Mr Earl's computer on a different software in order for both clips to be the same so that we can link the two clips together and upload it to our blogs. 

Today is the Deadline

Today we need to ensure  that the clips have all been edited and that the film is complete as its the Deadline we have until 12pm tonight, However we should hopefully have it finished for the end of the lesson and then we will will be uploading it to our blogs ASAP. 

Deadline for the film

Tomorrow Friday 21st October, 2011....  This is the deadline for out work that we have produced we are in the final stage of editing the clips and putting them together we have worked on the editing in the lessons that we have and outside the lessons in out free periods this means that we have had more time to make and edit the clips produces this is an advantage as it should hopefully mean that the film will run smoothly and should look good with the time and effort put in this making. Katie, Reece and Me are very happy with the work that we have produced including the filming and editing of the clips.

Editing

We have managed to edit most of out outside scene today during the lesson. the scene that we have been editing is when we where outside and I was minding my own business, suddenly Reece came and dragged me to the dark room and this is when the interrogation scene starts.

The Outside Clips

Today we got the clips after some confusion when we thought we where getting them yesterday but the appeared to be the wrong ones. In the lesson now we are looking through to see which clips we all think are the bast and we are going to edit them, once edited we are going to but all the clips together the outside scene and the interrogation scene to make the final piece. 

Editing

Today in the lesson we are going to edit the clips that we where given back that have been changed to the correct format, some editing had already been done earlier on today in our free lesson but we are going to do some more today..... Katie has brought in her laptop for the editing as we think it will be a better software that we can work from. The people in the Group me Reece and Katie are all very happy that we can use the laptop for the editing. The editing that has been done so far is very good and we are going to do some more in the lesson we have only done the interrogation scene so far but we need to finish that and then do the landscape scene that we have got clips today that we are going to edit as well.

Filmmaking Techniques

A project the demonstrates a variety of camera technigues, including shots, angles, framing, movement, focus, white balance, composition, lighting and other experiments, as well as editing including animation,blue/green screen, keying, colour adjusting, cloning, slow motion, image effects, transitions and sound editing.

I have added this to the blog so that it shows different camera shots that we could implement to the clips that we make also other effects e.g. slow motion that has been implemented.

Dramatic Music

I have put this dramatic music on to show what effect it could make... by adding something like this to a film that we may make could make all the difference between a film that may look funny or a film that is suppose to be dramatic and scary. this music created a dramatic and tense atmosphere and would be great in a future clip as it would make people fell and think that the clip is spooky and that anything could happen.

The Clips

In our lesson we got our clips back that we filmed and had a look at them on the computer, some better that others. we are going to edit the clip and make a film out of what we have recorded. Me, Reece and Katie are very pleased with what we had produced and the area that we filmed the clips in.

Scene 2 Done

Today Me, Reece and Katie finished the scene 2 to our film that we where told to produce by Mr Earl out Media teacher. Overall we have managed to do both scene 1 and 2 they both seem to be very successful when making the scenes. The scene that we had just finished was when one man was taken into the very dark and small room- this would suggest that the man that that pushed another man in the room would come across to be a very violent and angry man. However the innocent man that was wearing very light clothes would look to be very scared and wondering what is going on and what is wanted. Suddenly a conversation brakes out and both men are very angry one more that the other as the violent man Reece starts asking questions and saying that he wants information, however the man in the light clothes Barry does not seem to know what is going on and does not know what information Reece wants. The clips and shoots that we have made will now be edited on the computer and the finished product will be put on the blog by next Friday.  

The Shoot first section

We have just finished the first section of our film, the whole idea that we have made is that there is a man sitting at a tree on a peaceful day suddenly the man is dragged off his feet and dragged to a door that gets broken into, and the man gets pushed into the dark room. the peaceful and Innocent man is wearing very light clothes to represent a nice calm and sunny day, however the violent man is seen to be wearing black and red clothes to show the danger that can occur at any time and in anyplace, this also represents a rebellious nature.  We shot the scene just out side the sports hall in the school amongst some trees to show a calm area, nice place to sit and think. The characters involved is Barry (me)- being the good innocent person with the light colour clothes. Reece- Being the nasty, violent person with the dark colour clothes and Katie who is the Camera operator.  We where originally going to do the shoot outside of the school which would have been Canterbury Road, Newton Hall we changed our mind at the last Minuit as we all as a group thought that i would be far easier to do the shoot in the school where their was the trees that we could film in to get the effect of a nice calm, peaceful area.

Modified Script...

Here you can see that we have made a script that we are going to make a video on, we originally was given a possible script that the teacher gave us to work on Mr Earl give us the script to work with and produce a film on, we made a edited version and this is it... the reason we done this is so that we could make more sense of the script. we have kept the idea the same but we have changed it to make it more of our story line that we are going to make a video on.. the idea is that we are in a field that and someone is sitting under a tree and then suddenly someone behind drags him to a dark room and interrogates the person asking vital questions that he wants answered. 

Making a film

For our next project we have been given a story line that the teacher Mr Earl suggested that we followed, However we have tried to edit the story very slightly so that it will look better when coming to film the end products, we have a script that has been made on the computer of the new version that has been made.

Here you can see that i have made a second version on the clips that we films in the school grounds, i have made this video again to ensure that i am confident with using the edditing software, i have made this video with the help Katie and Reece who are the people that where recording and making the clips with me.
